Family Law at a Glance

More Ontarians are choosing to go to family court without legal help because they can’t afford a lawyer, and they believe they can manage on their own.

The issue is not new. Prior to becoming regulated by the Law Society, many paralegals offered more affordable services in the Family Law Court to help improve access to justice. The discussion is now the focus of the Attorney General's consultation paper: Expanding Legal Services Options for Ontario Families.

Below are links to information, the paper itself and our Facebook page requesting Your Family Law Story. We encourage the public to respond to the consultation paper, and tell your story. Share the news, let's improve access to justice for all Ontarians.
